After a very successful European tour in 1987, the legendary Canned Heat got back into the recording studio and delivered their '80s classic "Reheated." This particular album finds the revitalized band in an organic setting, much like their first recordings on Liberty. It was the truly unique atmosphere and studio experience that made this a very important comeback album for the band.

Original Heat members Fito de la Parra (drums/vocals) and Larry Taylor (bass/guitar/vocals) brought their love of rock and roll, blues, country blues and boogie to a whole new level. Adding the strong vocals and slide guitar of James Thornbury and stellar lead guitar work from Junior Watson, Canned Heat were definitely back and proved it with this exciting new line-up.

With a plethora of hard rockin' tracks like Ronnie Barron's Looking For The Party, the bayou blues vibe on Al Green's classic Take Me To The River as well as Willie Dixon's Built For Comfort, "Reheated" became a very much acclaimed album in 1988.

Having several Discussions with the band over the years about this session, there were times where maybe one microphone was employed on a particular tune. Even hip nuances like bassist Larry Taylor playing acoustic upright further developed a new twist on Canned Heat favorites like Bullfrog Blues. All in all, making the "Reheated" recording sessions very memorable and interesting unlike other albums at the time.

Friday Music is honored to present another Canned Heat Original Master Series release with their '80s masterwork "Reheated/The Deluxe Edition." Remastered from the original artist owned and controlled tapes, we believe this treasure trove of rock and boogie will become one of your favorite canned Heat listens.

As an added treat, Fito de la Parra is also including the super rare Nit Wit as a special deluxe bonus track to enhance the amazing recording you are about to enjoy.
