So why did it happen? At one of the famous strategy
meetings at the local McDonalds, Fatty Watkins
(EAST17s' manager) sang a rendition of W.E.G.
The boys were unimpressed, but Fatty had an idea -
a cover version of the old Pet Shop Boys' track.
"But Tony writes the music, man!" cried the lads, but
slowly, one by one, they were convinced - it makes
so much sense - East End Boys meet West End Girls!
Why not an original song? We're saving them for the
new album and the big live tour...
So here's a classic song treated with the greatest
respect from a lot of respected people including:
The Groove Corporation (ex-electribe 101),
Bleep and Booster - the electro space cadets from
shiny Sheffield, Phil Harding and Ian Curnow
(CHAPS) and Mykaell S Riley summoned to add his
skills to the "Grooves" basic production
