"The CD you hold in your hand is a official Afrodisiac Soundsystem Mixtape. 'A Handful of A.S.S.' features all of the tracks on the afroheat 12"s number 1-4 several original A.S.S. tracks, a couple of A.S.S. remixes and some classic afrofunk tracks that we've dug up or just plain dig. For those of you who haven't heard of the afrobeat 12" series, the afroheats are mash-up style remixes wich fuse original afrobeat and african funk tracks with classic disco and hip hop dancefloor favorites. We've had great fun making, playing and sharing these tracks with other DJs and have received great responses from both DJs and music heads alike. Because many of the afroheat records are now hard to find and because they have always been intended as tools for party-rocking DJs it seemed only natural to assemble tham all in a true A.S.S. style megamix.
