Bootleg release of mid-1960s recordings of Wolf Biermann. The tape has supposedly been smuggled out of East Berlin in a matchbox by German songwriter Franz Josef Degenhardt.
Although it has been suggested that this LP originates in the Netherlands, it appears that Reinhard Hippen, lead designer for German Progressive Rock label Ohr, was behind the release. Since there is no track list on the cover of the original issue, the track list given above is based on thorough listening and comparison with other Wolf Biermann releases.

At least two different variants of Wolf Biermann - Der Biermann kommt (Unveröffentlichte Biermann-Songs) are existing:
(a) has the cover opening on the top side whether variant
(b) has the opening on the left side.
Also, the variant (b) covers look like a less detailed copy of the variant (a) covers (compare the images), which suggests that the cover of variant (b) is a reproduction of the variant (a) cover. The matrix numbers of (a) and (b) are identical.
