Features looped samples from b-boy funk classic The Champ by The Mohawks and new vocals sung to the tune of Rapture by Blondie - hence the writer credits for Stein and Harry (of Blondie) and Palmer (of The Mohawks).
Rapture was a very significant track in the history of hiphop. Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of major band Blondie had bought graffiti art by Fab Five Freddy and visited the early Bronx hiphop club scene with him where they saw Grandmaster Flash DJing. They later made Rapture featuring a section of spoken vocals which became the first track including rapping to reach number 1 in the US chart and therefore took rap music to a much wider audience. Chris Stein and Fab Five Freddy would go on to collaborate on the soundtrack of the classic hiphop movie 'Wild Style' (which also included Rapture) and Grandmaster Flash used a segment of Rapture (with a namecheck to him) on his seminal turntable mix The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel.
The title of this single is the first line of vocals from the track. The subtitle is a combination of the titles of Rapture and the early hiphop hit Rapper's Delight.
