This release contains an extremely rare show presenting the great Nat King Cole performing live in Tokyo, Japan, in February of 1963. He is backed on some tracks by a local orchestra, while on others he is showcased on piano with his classic trio (featuring John Collins on guitar, Charlie Harris on bass, Leon Petties on drums, plus Reunald Jones on trumpet). The program includes rare items, like the only known live performances of four songs Nat had recorded on his albums sung in Spanish, and versions of “Autumn Leaves” and “Love Is a Many Splendored Thing” on which he sings the lyrics in Japanese.
A very similar show recorded shortly after in London (and featuring very similar personnel) has been added here as a bonus.
