The cover quotes Bill Evans (as printed in Blindfold Test - Leonard Feather/Down Beat), with his impressions of Mike Nock's pianistry.

This Mike Nock LP was one of the last albums with the old style (1968-70/71) pink MPS label. BASF distribution scheme with its own catalogue numbering was to take over right after when the labels were printed for this issue. It's common to have this LP with BASF sticker on front, even though the album is pink MPS (CRM 722). Issues with red BASF/MPS labels are reprints of this LP.

The LP comes in a laminated gatefold cover.
