Released in June of 1972 in the western Wisconsin and east-central Minnesota radio market(s), this song was written in an homage to (and essentially as promotion of) the summertime tubing ("inner tubing") pastime in western Wisconsin.

MSP International was run by David Anthony Wachter -an upper Midwest music promoter of note- and songwriter and musician Denny Johnson. There were altogether more than a dozen releases on the label, some of which were picked up for distribution and radio play outside of the upper Midwest.
