This was the seventh time that Metallica performed in Hamburg, Germany. The last time they played here was 12 years ago on November 15, 1997 during a promotional tour for ReLoad.
They first played Hamburg on December 9, 1984.
This was the first time that Metallica performed Leper Messiah in Hamburg.
This was the first time that Metallica performed both Killing Time and The Prince in Hamburg.
This was the first time since 2004 that Metallica performed the fan favorite (and rarely played) Dyers Eve. Though it was released in 1988, the band did not perform the song live until March 4, 2004 in Los Angeles. They last played the song on November 6, 2004 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
