According to sleeve notes this album was based on a sleeve of a compilation LP that Hans Vandenburg found when he was a kid.
"Now, years later, in spite of endlessly searching the globe and annoying his mother, our hero unfortunately never encountered the vinyl of the "Topless 16" LP and looking at the fantastic bandnames on the cover one more time, Hans and his band Gruppo Sportivo decided to compose and record the songs they imagined could have been heard on the album in those days and doing so, take their own career to an even higher level."
